Posted in another tribe, but also relevant to this tribe (ghosts, UFOs, etc):

I was listening to an interview on NPR with ex-nun Karen Armstrong (www.npr.org/features/feature.php last night and in it, there was mention of a rare and newly diagnosed form of epilepsy that doesn't cause seizures, but instead causes the brain to misfire. Some of this misfiring can take the form of dread, paranoia, feeling like someone is looking over your shoulder, evil... or it can take the form of euphoria, seeing bright lights, light shows... and seeing God. Her comment was that a lot of people with this type of epilepsy end up going into the Church because they believe they see God or or feel the presence of evil."

"Makes me wonder how much of religion can be attributed to people with this disorder?"

A bit of a riddle

nature of 4-d reality

3-d reality theorists work entirely on the assumption that a human being has five senses and that the being within is a stream of words running through a brain. in 3-d reality, sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing are considered bearers of truth in its only form. all life is considered in X,Y,Z terms, and every thing must have a purpose for existance - even the entire universe.

4-d reality is more or less the realization that a human being does not HAVE 5 senses, it IS one. it is the nexus and blending of everything it its unidentified, unexamined state. the human being has nothing to do with the stream of words. in fact, the stream of words is quite unnatural (nat., unnat, what's the difference?) and can accomplish nothing.

the universe did not come described. the continents did not come countried. earth is nothing more than a ball of rock floating through infinite space, and nothing of consequence can ever come from it. (minds, maybe?)

four dimensional reality is not a concept that can ever be grasped through contemplation, except for the point when contemplation says,"this will, which is in need of repair, can never apply itself to itself and hope to accomplish anything. it is flawed, and it will continue to be so until the time it no longer exists. to use will to repair will is much like lifting yourself off the ground by reaching down and pulling on your own feet."

in fact, four-d reality is the abandon of all concepts. astral travel can never be achieved by thinking about it. belief doesn't accomplish anything more than imagination. all that you end up doing is painting a memory.

4-d experiences

Hi everyone- I've been thinking lately about our 4-d world (length, width, height, time) and some of what I'm beginning to call 4-d experiences--particularly ghosts. I guess it is that time of year, with Halloween coming up soon.

Have any of you ever seen a ghost? I believe that the "ghost" phenomenon can be explained through the tenets of perceptual holography: ghosts are 4-d beings (as we are) who are not keeping pace with us in time--therefore they re-occur (for us) over long stretches of time and may seem to repeat the same behavior again and again without recognizing our presence. In reality, they perform their actions but once, but simce they are oscillating back and forth through our time line the action seems to repeat in the same space--either at regular intervals or in seemingly chaotic patterns.

I've thought of oblique movement through multiple dimensions as an explaination of UFOs and mysterious lights--even as a source for crop circles (the real ones--not the artistic hoaxes), but I had never really considered this as an explaination for ghosts. Thoughts?

Just thought I'd throw this out for discussion.
Time, what IS time? Isn't it mearly a human concept, that allows us to formulate a sequence of events? Does time exist? What if time did not exist, that it is simply a concept of our imagination. And that every event that ever happend, or that would ever happened and that IS happening occupies a single instance? What if this whole existance and everything between the big bang and the big crush (if that exists) occupies only an instant, an infinitly small moment in time?
Just some thoughts.

Darkness - is an illusion

Somethings are not what they seem to be....

I believe darkness and evil are an illusion. :-) (thru my own understanding...) These are not part of our holographic nature.

Darkness is not measuable without light. You cannot soley measure just pure darkness, if indeed it even exists? Darkness is all the light waves absorbed at once right? So in truth Darkness is "our" retinal expereince of light waves resounding in very low frequencies.

If "black" absorbs all the visible wavelengths, then there is no real color such as black, since "black" or "darkness" is ALL the spectral wavelengths absorbed into one. Black is just a sensation of all the colors(wavelengths)together? In fact it is how our human retina that percieves this phenomenon. Could be different thru the 'eye' of a lizard yes? Everything is light waves, even darkness, so how can darkness be a concrete reality?

Present theories of perception suggest that blackness is caused by the lateral inhibitory influences of retinal neurons, in short, an optical illusion. Neuroscientist's present theory of blackness is called "lateral inhibitory interaction" and it is not really consistent with the physics idea of the absence of light.

The darkness and blackness are proposed to be a cosmic particle background of low energy photons. The frequency of darkness radiation is proposed to be at "one hertz and below", thus darkness quanta lie on a distinct band on the electromagnetic spectrum. Darkness and blackness are unified by having the same external (objective) cause, this being the cosmic long-wavelength photon background. It is argued that if darkness and blackness are considered an objective stimulus to the visual system, it explains why photoreceptor cells turn off when visible photons are absorbed. These long-wavelength electromagnetic photons are proposed to interact with the visual system by aiding in the production and raising levels of cGMP in photoreceptor membranes. It is proposed that the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) may be the site of absorption of cosmic long-wavelength quanta. Both physical and biological evidence is given to support the model in which long-wavelength quanta provide a stimulus to retinal cells. It is argued that existing color theories can be made more consistent by considering cosmic long-wavelength photons as the objective source for darkness and blackness. The preponderance of brain activity in the dark, which is not explained in present theories, is consistent with the new darkness and blackness model. It is proposed that the retinal system of receptors are in harmonic resonance with vibrating electromagnetic fields at one hertz and below, yielding the perceptual experience of blackness.

"Yielding the perceptual experience of blackness." Just an experience, not a concrete reality. Darkness, being a cosmic long wave photon backround, would be more apropriate to say it is, in reality, "light".

Indeed, most scientists believe that the absence of light is a valid hypothesis. However, these same scientists commonly speak about blackness as if it were identical to an actual color experience, like there really is something of substance present.

Darkness can still be considered the absence of visible light, but not the absence of all electromagnetic radiation. If the darkness and blackness are fundamentally electromagnetic particles, the darkness and blackness has physical substance in the same way as photons at all other wavelengths do. In this new model, called the long-wavelength photon model, the darkness is a cosmic background of ordinary electromagnetic photons at very long wavelengths.

From the organization of receptive fields, dark currents in rod photoreceptors, theories of color vision and even in everyday language, all the evidence points to blackness being a pronounced perceptual and physiological phenomena. The key questions arising from this research are: Is there a physical stimulus behind the perceptions of darkness and blackness? Is the darkness and blackness created externally or are they internal subjective optical illusions? What is the relationship between electromagnetic photons and the visual system? What molecular mechanisms are responsible for the absorption of weak long-wavelength photons and where in the visual system are such quanta absorbed? Does the way in which photoreceptors function demonstrate new physical laws concerning the nature of light and darkness?

Is it safe to say that the object (say a green one) is rejecting that certain wavelength which resonates as green, of its body/particular matter, and thus is the reason our eyes see that wavelength known as green? If so, then is it not right to say that the object is everything but the color green? We see green, because that is what is being rejected (reflected) off of the particular object in question. Right?

Color originates in light. Sunlight, as we perceive it, is colorless. In reality, a rainbow is testimony to the fact that all the colors of the spectrum are present in white light.

Lets look at the color red. All the" invisible" colors of sunlight shine on the apple. The surface of a red apple absorbs all the colored light rays, EXCEPT for those corresponding to red, and reflects this color to the human eye. The eye receives the reflected red light and sends a message to the brain.

"Color is the visual effect that is caused by the spectral composition of the light emitted, transmitted, or reflected by objects."

It is safe to say that all of the Universe operates on some type of harmonic system. If it were not so, planets would be bumping into eachother all over the universe.

In my understanding of darkness & evil, I can safely conclude that according to Law of physics and the Universe (God) darkness & evil are illusions.

Darkness and evil are sensations created by our mind/brain. How we percieve darkness and evil are our own interpretations of our expereince in reaction to light-wave frequencies compiled into what we call reality or our existence in this world.

To a tree, all of the drama that is going on is just that: drama. There is no attached emotional interpretation of the particular drama being evil, darkness or otherwise. A tree reacts by and thru the forces of Nature - the Universal Law. When it gets cut, fed poisons etc... it does not react and say: THIS IS EVIL. It reacts by and thru the laws of physics governing the natural organic compounds of its existence. It may die, it may not. Its leaves whither due to the poisons, and its body goes into shock when it is cut down... but in its whole experience EVIL is not present. Its natural growth does stir and move to re-align into the "HARMONIC" process of its Nature. We see this Nature and harmony as good. Of course. It is LIFE! When we see a tree being cut down, we either see it as evil, sad, good, money, a house etc... WE place the value and lable according to 'our own' experience. But in the reality of the Universe, its either dis-harmonic or harmonic. The natural LAW of the Univere is based on harmony. Anything that is not in harmony eventually resolves to re-align back into its intricate web of harmonic band waves of light. Anything that is not in 'harmony' is not nessassarily 'evil' either... its existence will either move back into a harmonic resonance or dissolve into somethign else to be aligned by the order of Life/Creation.

The Universe is Light. Light is wave form. Light is love. A wave form is sound... so it is a most intriging thing to say that in the beggining was the Word. God is love. Dogmatic religion is like a dis-harmonic poison. Most base their teachings on false doctrine and fear. God is not a MAN nor a WOMAN but an energetic state of consciousness of all that is harmonic, of ALL THAT IS, of Life. The greater I AM. The Universe in action creating us, we, them, stars, planets, photon bands, nebulae etc... All is Light. All is sound. All is Numbered. All is holo-graphic. We are an amazing creation spun thru the intricacy of star fusion and fission, being sung by the very voice of Light.

Sound is Creation

I know that this may be alittle off topic here, but in this Holgraphic Universe "sound" is everything.

I had a vision that alot of the Crop Circles that have been forming on this Earth, are the result of huge sound vibrations directed to certain spots on this planet via certain sound mediums like large crystal oscillators or large tonoscopes.

'Sound' can manifest into 'form' through the medium of various materials. "In the beginning was the word..." takes on a whole new meaning when you understand 'cymatics'.

Its so fascinating... whether it be from outside our world, or from the Top Secret Domes of scientific experiments here on Earth, it is fascinating that 'sound' can create the most beautiful geometric patterns ever created.

In 1815 the American mathematician Nathaniel Bowditch began studying the patterns created by the intersection of two sine curves whose axes are perpendicular to each other, sometimes called Bowditch curves but more often Lissajous figures. (se below right) This after the French mathematician Jules-Antoine Lissajous, who, independently of Bowditch, investigated them in 1857-58. Both concluded that the condition for these designs to arise was that the frequencies, or oscillations per second, of both curves stood in simple whole-number ratios to each other, such as 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, and so on.

Since these discoveries, the Higher Scientific field and minds of this world have been experiementing and using these tools in the study of Sound Creation, unbenownst to the general public.

What creates the variations in the shapes of these designs is the phase differential, or the angle between the two curves. In other words, the way in which their rhythms or periods coincide. If, on the other hand, the curves have different frequencies and are out of phase with each other, intricate web-like designs arise. These Lissajous figures are all visual examples of waves that meet each other at right angles.

As you ponder the connection between these figures and other areas of knowledge, one comes to think about the concept that exists in many societies and their mythologies around the world, which describes the world as a web (crossing sine waves). For example, many of the Mesoamerican people regarded the various parts of the universe as products of spinning and weaving: "Conception and birth were/.../ compared with the acts of spinning and weaving; all the Aztec and Mayan creation and fertility goddesses were described as great weavers." A number of waves crossing each other at right angles look like a woven pattern, and it is precisely that they meet at 90-degree angles that gives rise to Lissajous figures.

In 1967, the late Hans Jenny, a Swiss doctor, artist, and researcher, published the bilingual book Kymatik -Wellen und Schwingungen mit ihrer Struktur und Dynamik/ Cymatics - The Structure and Dynamics of Waves and Vibrations. In this book Jenny, like Chladni two hundred years earlier, showed what happens when one takes various materials like sand, spores, iron filings, water, and viscous substances, and places them on vibrating metal plates and membranes. What then appears are shapes and motion- patterns which vary from the nearly perfectly ordered and stationary to those that are turbulently developing, organic, and constantly in motion.

Jenny made use of crystal oscillators and an invention of his own by the name of the tonoscope to set these plates and membranes vibrating. This was a major step forward. The advantage with crystal oscillators is that one can determine exactly which frequency and amplitude/volume one wants. It was now possible to research and follow a continuous train of events in which one had the possibility of changing the frequency or the amplitude or both.

The tonoscope was constructed to make the HUMAN VOICE VISIBLE without any electronic apparatus as an intermediate link. This yielded the amazing possibility of being able to see the physical image of the vowel, tone or song a human being produced directly.

Not only could you hear a melody - you could see it, too!

Jenny called this new area of research Cymatics, which comes from the Greek kyma, wave. Cymatics could be translated as: the study of how vibrations, in the broad sense, generate and influence patterns, shapes and moving processes.

When the "OM" is uttered into a tonoscope which transfers the sound into its visual geometric representative, it creates a pattern identical to the SRI YANTRA Mantra. Isn't that incredible!

We live in such a wonderous Universe... everything is sound, vibration, geometry and light waves: with the basis and power of love as its root.

Lets keep our visions and tones for peace uplifted and soon it will infect the whole world!

Hello,
I have not been on Tribe.net very long. I typed in the word pyramid in the search and found this tribe. I have just got the book "Pyramid Power" and have built a pyramid. The idea of a pyramid having something to do with or enableing time travel is very interesting. My friend built some pyramids out of construction paper following the books instructions when he was stationed in Korea. He had the idea to experiment and see if the information in the book was correct. He took a porkchop and cut it in half, putting one half under the pyramid and one half in a bowl beside the pyramid. In 2 days he had to throw the half in the bowl away. He left the peice in the pyramid alone for 11 months, when he was getting ready to go back to the US. He cut it in peices and he and his friends each ate a peice. It was like eating jerky. The other experiment he did was with a razor blade (this was in the 70's). He used the same razor blade to shave with everyday for 11 months. It stayed sharp the whole time. I will be doing some things like that as well. I will keep you posted on the results of my tests. I now have in mind to find some way to test the time travel theory. If anyone has any ideas how to do that let me know.

Can you imagine...

...willing your body to move in a direction that you've never even seen or experienced before?

That sounds hard to me. Maybe we should start out a little easier, say, with simply willing our senses to perceive motion in a direction that we've never experienced before. What does 4d motion look like? What do 4d vibrations sound like? (Great questions, gang!)

Maybe we could also try a concrete (*cough*) example, such as hurling your body at oblique angles through an oncoming vehicle, to avoid being run over and squished. What would that experience be like?

If 3d space is filled with terrain and obstacles, then it is quite reasonable to expect to have to deal with obstacles in 4d as well. It would be silly to just assume *unimpeded* motion along the 4th spatial dimension. You'd have to navigate your way around and through those obstacles as well. (Maybe even attempt oblique motion in 5d, but that just leads to 6d, 7d... Nd, where does it stop? What leads us to believe it would ever get anything but *more* complex?)

So the limiting factor is mainly one of increasing complexity. From the perspective of energy / matter itself, all motion is spinning, whirling, curving, as well as maintaining 3d-centric "straight" lines. The actual vectors of force and energy, mass and motion are already incredibly complex in 3d space, and just get more complicated in 4d+. (Einstein decided that matter accelerating in space actually *decreases* in mass, implying zero mass for anything moving at the speed of light [or a phase transition]. From a 4d perspective, it could just be that the overall density of energy/matter in 3d space (+ time) is what is changing. Maybe implying that moving at the speed of light is a condition for making the phase transition to moving in the 4th dimension [and thus having zero "mass"].)

It's no wonder we choose to organize our perceptions into merely 3 spatial dimensions, if only for convenience sake!

I imagine it must end up a lot like trying to take one fractal and then pour it through another one...
